Toss the Sugar Out with 2016
The holidays are finally winding down, but my scale is most definitely going up. Especially during the holidays, it’s so hard to put that cookie down…. or that piece of cake… or chocolate. No matter where I went, the choices seemed to be sugary or more sugary and fattening or more fattening. Sometimes the temptation was just too much to resist.
Although I tried my best to continue working out throughout the holidays, I can feel the effects of stress and poor eating habits on my body. I feel sluggish, exhausted, and irritable. I want to start 2017 right, so I decided to try something I never tried before to get Mission Mommy Wellness back on track!
My longtime friend Kaylan Bartholomew of Spirited Natural, has challenged me to do her “Revive, Renew, Restore” detox program, to help me kick the sugar cravings that I know will linger long after the Christmas tree has been put away.
If I’m honest, I closed my eyes and held my breath as I typed "yes" to accept Kaylan's invitation. I know it’s going to be a challenge for me. But I also know that there is no success without trying! I’m looking forward to trying something new to help me become the healthiest version of myself in 2017.
