The Perfect Saturday Morning!

I have to shout this one from the rooftops as i’m not sure if this anomaly will ever happen again! We just had the perfect Saturday morning! It was the kind of Saturday morning that little girls dream of when they think of what their families will be like one day.

First of all my 13 month old son slept all through the night. This hasn’t happened in several weeks, so that by itself was an amazing treat! Then he woke up in a great mood, no crying, just adorable smiles with shiny, big, crooked teeth! We cuddled in bed for a while without any complaints or attempts to bungee jump off the bed!

After our little cuddle session, my husband watched my son (with one eye open) as I prepared a breakfast worthy of royals to a soundtrack of Disney radio (very corny I know, but I love it… probably more than my kid). My little one played quietly the entire time!

I made the perfect eggs, scrambled for me and the baby and sunny side up for the hubs. I didn’t burn, overcook or under cook any of them! I also made a beautiful fruit plate and cheese plate. I laid out greek yogurt and even remembered the spoons! When the food was ready my husband came to the table without me having to call him five times and he even left his phone behind!

We ate and chatted and my son smiled and tried to feed us his scrambled eggs before throwing them on the floor. He did eat his fruits though! There were no tantrums, no bickering, just a happy Saturday morning! I can only pray that we will see a few more of these in our lifetime!

Now back to the reality of cleaning up the highchair and floor, cleaning up the kitchen, changing the poopy diaper and all the rest of it! But I would do it all 100 times over, to have another dreamy Saturday morning like this one!

Have a great weekend everyone!
